Founded in 2021 by Payam Kabiri, The Kabiri Group bridges the gap between conflict resolution expertise and real-world business operations. Unlike traditional consulting firms, we bring the rare combination of formal alternative dispute resolution training and hands-on experience building companies from startup to scale.
We serve executives who face their most critical organizational challenges - whether navigating a crisis that threatens operations, building systems to support rapid growth, or needing strategic leadership during pivotal transitions. Our clients span emerging technology companies, educational institutions, government organizations, and established enterprises undergoing transformation.
Our approach is straightforward: prevent conflicts before they disrupt business, resolve crises quickly when they arise, and build organizational infrastructure that supports sustainable growth. We deliver measurable outcomes because we understand both the psychology of organizational dynamics and the practical realities of running a business.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, I initially pursued law school after earning my Bachelor's degree from UC Irvine, but realized the legal profession focused too much on damaging relationships rather than repairing them and resolving underlying issues.
Instead, I embarked on a career in higher education to enhance organizational experiences. In 2011, I earned my Master's in Organizational Psychology with a specialization in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, along with certifications in Title IX and civil rights investigation.
This foundation led to over a decade in higher education where I resolved over 3,000 informal and formal disputes, participated in hundreds of external complaint mediations, and addressed complex issues including Title IX violations, fraud, academic integrity, discrimination, and bias.
In 2018, I transitioned to the corporate sector, working with executives on conflict resolution and implementing internal resolution systems across industries including real estate, private education, government, and startups.
As an entrepreneur, I have invested in diverse sectors and founded multiple companies, including Electryon Tech and JackrabbitGo. I served as Senior Product Manager at Foundry (Digital Currency Group) and currently serve as Chief Organizational Development Officer at Electryon Tech.
I hold the IBM Applied AI Professional Certificate and an AI for Business Specialization from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I am completing my Doctor of Organizational Psychology, specializing in Conflict Resolution and Mediation, with my degree expected in 2026.
